commisions

Working closely with each client, I aim to capture more than a likeness — I focus on presence, expression, and the quiet personality that makes your animal uniquely yours.

My connection to pet portraiture began with painting my own 18-year-old cat, Foxy. What started as a personal tribute became a deeper understanding of how powerful it is to see a beloved companion reflected back in art.

A commissioned portrait is not simply decoration. It is a way of holding onto a presence — whether for your own home or as a deeply personal gift. I also create memorial portraits, approached with particular care and sensitivity, understanding how important it is to honour an animal’s memory with respect and warmth.

All portraits are created from photographs, allowing your animal to remain in a relaxed, natural setting while I work from carefully chosen reference imagery.

process

Initial Consultation

Once your commission is confirmed, we discuss composition, size, and overall

atmosphere. We’ll decide together on background tone, mood, and any specific details

that matter to you.

Reference Photographs

You will provide a selection of images, including the exact photograph you would like me to

work from. The chosen image should reflect how you wish your animal

to be remembered - expression and posture are important.

Composition Preview

Before painting begins, I prepare a simple visual composition plan to confirm

background and positioning. This ensures we are aligned before the artwork is started.

Painting Stage

Your portrait is then developed carefully, layer by layer, focusing on

character, texture, and expression.

Final Review

Before sealing the artwork, I will share the completed piece with you. Minor refinements

can be discussed at this stage.

Finishing & Protection

The artwork is sealed for longevity and protection, ensuring durability and color depth.

Packaging & Delivery

Each piece is carefully packaged and shipped securely.

Domestic and international delivery available.
